Events are excellent for driving new business opportunities! But, don’t rely solely on the event days to make connections.

Maximize event potential by launching a Telegram outreach campaign, before the event starts. Pre-event outreach campaigns boast a 50+% response rate, and are highly effective in driving new business opportunities. They also help you schedule more appointments during the conference, making the most of your time there.

Use a platform like nReach to help you find the relevant attendees and send automated outreach messages, manual outreach can be time-consuming and less effective.

Now for the crucial part—the messaging.

Here are our top messaging tips to boost your response rates:

Mention the Event:
Start your message by referencing the event. For example, “Saw you’ll be in Belgium during EthCC” or “Are you coming to EthCC next month?” This grabs their attention and highlights the relevance.

Value Proposition:
Include a concise value proposition. Do you have event related value to offer? Now is the time to do it, it can even be an invite to a side event that is relevant for both of you, anything that would be valuable for your recipient.

Schedule a Pre-Event Call:
Suggest a quick intro call before the event. This can set the stage for closing deals during the event itself.

Test Different Versions:
Even if you think you have the perfect message or CTA, run at least two versions to see what works best. You might be surprised 🙂 nReach can help you with A/B testing.

Use a Sequence:
People’s phones are swamped, so a follow-up 1-2 days after your first message can increase response rates. Limit your sequence to 3-4 messages.

You know the feeling when you return from a conference, having had so many great conversations but struggling to remember the details? You meet so many people, and it’s challenging to connect the conversation to the name or face later on.

However, it’s critical to follow up on these connections, as they could represent significant business opportunities you don’t want to miss.

Here are our steps on how to do that using nReach without spending too much time:

  1. During the Conference:
    • Start a chat with new connections on Telegram using the TG QR code.
    • Send a first message with key details to help both of you remember the reason for the connection, and include a photo of you both! A smiley photo is the perfect memory jogger.
For example – just a fun snapshot from Consensus 2024!

      Katrina Arman & Yaniv Azar

Katrina Arman (Flight3) & Yaniv Azar (nReach)

    • It’s best to do this on the go—add these connections to a specific conference folder. While it’s not a must, organizing your chats this way will allow you to easily scroll through them on the Telegram app, which can be more convenient when you’re on the move.
  2. After the Conference:
    • Upload Contacts to nReach: Use the “Sync Conference” feature to upload your new Telegram chats from the conference to nReach. Simply select the conference dates and name the group—be sure to use the conference name so you can easily filter these contacts later.
    • Setup a Sequence TG Campaign: Send the outreach around a week after the conference to give your contacts time to catch up, but don’t wait too long—7 days is usually ideal. Set up a sequence of 3-4 messages. I’ve included a sequence template here that has shown proven response rates. 3. Manage Responses:
    • Sit back and wait for the responses to come in. When they do, make sure you don’t miss any.
    • Use nReach to track responses and reply via the platform promptly to maintain the conversation and momentum.

We hope these tips are helpful. If you have more tips that have worked for you, please share them with me via Telegram: @tullynk.
Looking forward to seeing you at the next Web3 conference!

Telegram outreach is a tricky channel to master. While Telegram response rates are typically higher than email and other traditional channels, they can still vary greatly depending on your campaign strategy, content, and frequency.

Don’t rely on getting a positive response to your first message. In today’s fast-paced world, people often miss or overlook messages. They might be on vacation or simply inundated with daily communications. This is why a sequence is critical for increasing your response rate. It doesn’t mean you need to be pushy, but rather give them more opportunities to respond in case the first message came at a bad time.

But you need to do it right. Here are a few proven best practices for Telegram sequence campaigns:

Choose Your Target Audience Wisely

As with any outreach campaign you should use data—both on-chain and off-chain—as well as job titles to ensure you’re reaching the right contact at the right time. Don’t just guess and send blindly.

Correctly Setup Your Sequence

Here’s a step-by-step guide to setting up an effective Telegram outreach sequence:

  1. First Message: Your first message should be informative and to the point. Introduce yourself (keep it short) and provide a brief overview of how you can help. Focus on addressing their specific pain points, not about yourself. For more tips on writing compelling messages, read our blog post: Mastering Telegram Cold Outreach (Templates Included)
  2. Follow-Up Messages: Set up 3-4 follow-up messages with 2-3 days gap between each. Ensure each message builds on the previous one, providing more value and context. Naturally, if the recipient responds, the follow-up messages should cease.
  3. Verify the Right Contact: One of your messages should inquire whether they are the right contact to discuss this with. This ensures you’re engaging the right person and is an effective strategy to drive a response.
  4. Offer Additional Content: Include a message that provides relevant content for them to read more and get a better impression of how your product can help them. This could be a case study, a blog post, or a white paper.
  5. Closing Message: Your last message should confirm that if there is no response till this point, the product may not be relevant for them. This closure gives your contact a last chance to respond.

Automate Your Sequences

Doing this manually is close to impossible. You need to use a platform like nReach to set these sequences to run automatically. All you’ll need to do is set this up, sit back, and let the responses come in.
By following these best practices and automating your outreach sequences, you can significantly boost your response rate on Telegram. Happy outreaching!

Navigating Telegram for cold outreach without getting the dreaded “account limited” status is akin to mastering the art of invisibility in a crowded market. It’s about blending in, respecting the norms, and making genuine connections. Here’s a guide, devoid of sales jargon, on how to warm up your Telegram account, whether you want to do this with the old or the new one

For the New Kids on the Block

Just landed in Telegram town with a brand new account? Here’s your starter kit to avoid setting off any alarms:

  • Invest in Telegram Premium: It’s only a few USD monthly and it’s like buying a fast pass at an amusement park. Paying for premium status not only supports Telegram but also eases your way into higher messaging limits.
  • Warm-Up Is Key: Imagine you’re new in town. You wouldn’t immediately start knocking on every door, would you? Dip your toes by joining various groups and channels, and have a few conversations with your coworkers. Engage like a human being who’s genuinely interested in the conversation, not just scouting for prospects.

For the Veterans

Your current Telegram has been temporarily limited and you want to avoid this again in the future? Here’s how to keep it fresh and under the radar:

  • Your Copy is King: If your messages start resembling a spammy flyer, expect to be treated as such. Keep it human, keep it relevant. Discover additional messaging tips in our guide to mastering Telegram cold outreach.
  • No Cold Links: Sending links to strangers is the equivalent of handing out flyers on the street. Unless you’ve already established a connection, save your links for later conversations.
  • Personalize: Your outreach should be as personalized as a hand-written letter. If you’re blasting identical messages, you’re essentially wearing a “spam” badge.
  • The Human Touch: Consider sending voice notes or short videos as follow-ups. Showing your face and using their name makes it harder for someone to dismiss you as just another bot.
  • Give Them an Out: It’s okay to not always get a response. Make it easy for people to say no or ignore your message. This respect for their space and time can go a long way.

Remember, the aim of warming up your Telegram account isn’t to disguise spam as conversation but to initiate meaningful dialogues that resonate on a human level. So, as you progress, keep it genuine, keep it respectful, and let the conversations flow naturally.

Warm up the account:
Engage in relevant groups and start personal conversations before beginning your outreach to minimize the risk of being marked as spam. For insights on effectively warming up your Telegram account, explore our detailed guide.

Filter your contacts:
